Isn't it great to believe in stories. We've all grown up on stories. Stories have inspired us. Stories have piqued our curiosity and helped us learn. Stories have shaped who we are. Yet, as soon as we don office wear suddenly stories become alien and childish. At best useful when making TV commercials.
At StoryWorks, we are attempting to change this attitude. When we think of leaders whose speeches have moved us, leaders whoose speeches we remember, they have all, without an exception, been fantastic storytellers. The work we do is an attempt to tap into the 'storyteller' hidden in each one of us and harness the power of stories to connect, engage and inspire others.
We believe that if we can increase the effectiveness of communication inside an organisation, we can dramatically impact productivity.
We specialise in harnessing the natural power of stories to help your messages stick, gather insights & manage knowledge. We provide both training and consulting services using Business Storytelling. We also help increase communication effectiveness through one-on-one coaching of senior leaders on Public Speaking and Presentation Skills.

CEOs often say to us, “MY message isn't sticking”. Organisations across the world spend copious amount of time and money putting together a strategy. The greatest leadership skill is the ability to persuade. To move people to action.
And the most powerful tool to do that is our speech.
Whether impromptu or planned, informal or formal, one- on-one or to a large audience the skill of powerful public speaking can be learnt.
Mark Twain had once famously said, “There are only two types of speakers in the world. The nervous and the liars”. The truth is, we all have a fear of public speaking. Some fear less, others more. However, we believe that by questioning the usual approach and learning a few basic skills and a few basic speech models we can all design and deliver good speeches. After all ‘the expert at anything was once a beginner’.
Learn the secrets the greatest communicators use to convey their ideas. Learn how approach, structure, story and visuals can help you create a presentations that are powerful and persuasive. This is a journey from being a good presenter to becoming an excellent one.
After 21 years in organisations like Unilever, Tata & Mahindra selling soaps, teddy bears, airtime and holidays, I started StoryWorks in 2013. The next year my wife and my four legged daughter Zara relocated from Mumbai and we now call Goa home.
My experiences in building teams and organisations in India and aboard has given me a first hand taste of the very challenges I now help companies address.
